NATURAL, COLORFUL, MEANINGFUL
Lynchburg, VA
Eccles’ parents were born and raised in the Outer Banks region - spending summers visiting Corolla when it was just a small village with no roads. Her aunt Shirley was a great hunting guide; Uncle Gene was the lighthouse keeper at the Currituck Lighthouse. Her family always gave each other gifts of “heritage” – gifts that meant something about their shared past. AJ brings some of these gifts of heritage and memories to life through watercolors.
She and her husband spend a lot of time at a family farmhouse in Harbinger at the Outer Banks, which allows the opportunity to extend the heritage to future generations.
