Bacchus ( Ode to Caravaggio)

This is a re-interpreted  painting of the Greek god Bacchus by the great, Baroque artist Caravaggio. Of course Bacchus has been painted over and over throughout the centuries but as an avid Caravaggio lover, his version was the muse for this one!

Acrylic paint, oil pastel, graphite and chalk on birch board.

Measures 18 x 18 x 2 with painted edges.
