Anthony Bowes

Anthony Bowes is an award winning representational artist from Chesterfield, Virginia. Born in 1999, he grew up with a healthy appreciation for the outdoors; spending a great deal of his childhood in the woods and creeks of his neighborhood. He took an interest in drawing from a young age and started to learn from his grandmother who was an art professor at Liberty University. Bowes attributes much of his love for painting to the influence and support of his late grandmother.

Bowes’ subject matter is predominantly landscapes with the exception of occasional portrait commissions. He works mainly in oil paints, but enjoys experimenting in gouache and charcoal. His work varies in size ranging from a few square inches to 4x5 foot paintings.
