Carolyn Shultz is a mixed-media artist living in South Carolina, where she creates from her home studio. Drawing on her background as an interior designer, Carolyn finds endless inspiration in beautiful textiles, collected objects, lush florals, and the timeless charm of traditional design.

Known for her joyful use of color, Carolyn builds each composition by layering fragments of collected textiles and hand-painted rice paper. She describes the process as much like working a puzzle—intuitive, playful, and full of discovery as each piece finds its place on the canvas.

Her vibrant floral and still-life paintings often reveal her love of chinoiserie, pattern, and the beauty of a well-loved home. Whimsical and energetic, Carolyn’s work has been collected around the world. Above all, she hopes to create happy, colorful pieces that bring warmth, spark curiosity, and add a little more joy to the homes where they live.
