ABSTRACT, IMPRESSIONISTIC, OIL AND COLD WAX
Cindy’s artwork is shaped by bold colors, shapes, textures, and light from her surroundings. Having recently moved to The Villages, Florida from Virginia, where she lived for almost 40 years, Cindy found new inspiration in the Florida landscape. She paints in plein air and in the studio, working in oil or acrylic, frequently using a palette knife.
Cindy started working with cold wax medium five years ago and found it to be a great vehicle for layering color, making marks, scratching through paint, and revealing layers below to create texture in abstracts.
