This nude study is from a privately owned collection of Phillip Ratner works. Ratner, an American artist, has spent many years working in sculpture, painting and other areas of the fine arts. With degrees from the Pratt Institute and American University, Ratner taught school in the D.C. area for 23 years, at the same time building his reputation as an international artist.
His works are included in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian, the United States Supreme Court, the Library of Congress, the White House, and Ellis Island.
