We are please to present this beautiful antique oil painting by the late German landscape artist Peter Edward Rudell. Rudell's subject matter concentrated on rural, pastoral scenes and this is a fine example.
The title and exact date of this particular piece is unknown, however, given that his death was recorded in 1899 we are comfortable to place this at @ 125 years old.
Measures @ 25.5 w x 31.25 h x 1.75 (at deepest frame corners)
The elaborately carved frame is solid wood with a soft, golden, painted finish, it is exquisite! It is in very good antique condition with no major chips or cracks.
The painting itself is in very good condition (but we would recommend a professional cleaning for dust). There are no tears, buckling or peeling paint. There are signs of age as is evident with tiny, delicate lines within the paint's surface.
