Antique Minority Chinese Embroidery Panels and Gilded Asian Carving

Quite often I find vintage and antique objects that I purchase based on a first impression but later as I begin to move the item around, flip it over, give it a closer look, I find that I want to use it in a way it wasn’t first intended. Such is the case with these antique, Chinese Minority embroidery panels. The reversed side revealed a more vibrant and detailed menagerie of colors and textures then the intended front side. The addition of bright pink, hand blocked fabric in the background only serves to add to the kaleidoscope of color and pattern. Grounding it all is the vintage, carved and gilded wooden plaque and ornate, hand leafed frame.
