One in a series of three, this Napoleon III relic features Holy Mary, Our Lady Mother and Child. Throughout history these small travel size images of saints, and most commonly the Holy Mother, were thought to give a profound sense of connection to whom the image represented. This piece is the smallest carving of the three and still has its thin, protective glass dome. Like the others in the series it is nestled in a custom made, stacked series of hand painted mats.
