Hand Sewn Tunic with Vintage Indian and Turkish Fabrics 001

Upon the discovery of some beautiful Indian Sari fabric remnants and an antique Turkish neck yoke, I knew combining these elements would lead me to something spectacular. Drawing influence from several different cultures and spanning back many decades, a story is woven into this hand sewn tunic of history, ceremony and tradition. I have floated it over a soft linen matting and created a double stacked frame of white lacquered wood and a gold leaf "pie crust". Under glass.
