Small Antique Asian Carving

This unique piece has been intricately carved from a single piece of wood. Once used as a wall hanging in its own right it is now reimagined as substantial piece of art.  After careful cleaning and restoration, the carved details are more clearly visible, and the wood has resumed some of its color.  I have paired it with this handmade aqua and gold, Japanese rice paper and used a custom stacked frame of weathered, Chinese red wood and an ornate carved moulding.
