Once buried and long forgotten, these antique, German porcelain ‘Frozen Charlotte Dolls’ take center stage in this unique shadow boxframe. The dolls showthe signs of age and wear but that only added to their appeal to me. I have paired them with a vibrant, pink floral fabric and set them inside a vintage, brass butterfly plate. I’ve rested the plate on hand painted paper with a random pattern of black and gold with white polka dots. The entire vignette is surrounded by a soft, blush pink matting and an incredible Italian, hand gilded frame. Under glass.
