Julia Dean is a native of Amherst County. She enjoys mediums that include watercolor, oil, and acrylic. Her longtime interest in art lead her to watercolor classes instructed by Purnell Pettyjohn.

Julia’s studio is located at “Art on 12th” which is her favorite place to be in her free time. Clouds and landscapes are her main interest when painting.  Her work has been displayed at Lynchburg Art Club, Lynchburg Art Festival (she has made the judges fence twice), Bath County Art Show and Allegheny Highlands Fall Art Festival.
