Lisa Acciai is a Blacksburg artist renowned for her lifelike paintings and drawings of pets and other animals. Her charcoal portraits and oil paintings are crafted in a traditional  realistic style, capturing the essence of her subjects and the soul in their eyes.

Art has always been a cornerstone of Lisa’s life. Growing up, she spent countless hours drawing portraits of animals and people, earning awards and encouragement from her teachers. In college, she received formal training in drawing, painting, and illustration, ultimately earning a BA degree in Graphic Design. 

With over 20 years of experience as a graphic designer in both print and digital mediums, Lisa found herself longing to return to her roots in fine arts. In 2013, she rekindled her passion for painting and fine arts. Since then, she has been accepted into several juried exhibitions and has continued to do custom pet portraits for people across the US as well as internationally. Her work has also garnered several awards, including Best of Show at the Carilion Healing Arts Show, Best Figure in Oil at the 2018 Bath County Art
Show, and third place in drawing at the 2024 Bath County Art Show.
