Marguerite Andrews
LANDSCAPE, NOSTALGIC, INTUITIVE
Roanoke, VA
Marguerite Andrews was born in South Carolina and has since lived all over the south and in the Pacific Northwest. She is a landscape and abstract painter in the mediums of acrylic and watercolor. Marguerite learned the foundation of art and design as a landscape
architecture student at the University of Georgia. After a few years as a garden designer, she realized she loved the art behind hand-drawn designs more than the rest of the work.
In 2016 she began selling her art, was represented by her first gallery, and completed her first commission. Marguerite’s art is intuitive, and she paints from a place of calm and peace.
Her landscapes are not real places. They are loosely based on memories and the imprints that those landscapes have made in her life. Marguerite hopes that her landscapes will look and feel different to each viewer, bringing to the surface their landscape memories sand imprints.
