My paintings and collages are works of imagination. While many create a focal point in a room, when making them I am intent on rewarding close perusal over along period of time. I draw on memory, subconscious imagery, and energetic physical rhythms. I usually begin to work arbitrarily, obeying an inner voice and making up games that evolve into the formal structures. I prize ambiguity and visual puns.
