Larry Connatser (1938-1996) was a prominent Georgia artist who lived and worked in Savannah for most of his life. Connatser's work was inspired by music, surrealism, and art history and is characterized by his distinctive flattened forms and imaginative figures.
The work offered here is a mixed medium on paper. Consists of acrylic paint, graphite and pen. It has been custom framed in a shadow box fashion with work "floating" within. Frame is gold gilded, "en plein air" style moulding.
Condition of work is very good with a slight imperfection in the top left corner as shown in one of the detail images. No significant folds, tears, stains or discoloration.
This has been stamped on the back by the estate when it acquired this particular piece after his death.
